As the Monsoon Session of Parliament was about to commence today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Budget 2024, to be presented tomorrow, “will lay the foundation of Viksit Bharat.” He also highlighted the fact that India is one of the fastest-growing economies and asserted that it has sustained a growth of 8 per cent over the last three years.
He claimed that Budget 2024 will be a strong foundation of the government’s dream of ‘Viksit Bharat’, a developed India. Before that, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will today table the Economic Survey 2023-24 along with a statistical appendix.
“The guarantees are being gradually implemented on the ground. This Budget is an important Budget of Amrit Kaal. The Budget will decide the course of the five-year term that we got. This Budget will lay the foundation of Viksit Bharat,” he said.
“It is a matter of pride for everyone that India is one of the fastest-growing economies. There is a positive outlook, opportunities are at their peak. It is an important milestone of the development journey of Bharat,” he added.
He further appealed to all political parties to rise above party politics and work towards the development of India.
